《剃头匠》/The Old Barber 靖奎人生 /The Life Of Jing Kui

Shaver Jingkui
Mr. Jingkui, the dean of Beijing Hutong head shaver: There is no fear in the face of death, and you can get away with cleanliness! (Jing Kui)
When Mr. Jingkui was 97 years old, he was still shaving his head for customers.
He was an ordinary craftsman, but he was made into a movie and became a celebrity in Beijing. He had haircuts for countless celebrities throughout his life. When he was more than 90 years old, he still insisted on riding a tricycle, serving those patrons who couldn't walk around in Houhai. However, today (October 31) at about 9:20 in the morning, he left. The legendary barber is Jing Kui, who was 101 years old.
The old man is still talking on the phone in the morning
Today (October 31) at 10:30 in the morning, old man Jingkui’s house had dark lights. Most of the neighbors around knew that he had been hospitalized a few days ago, but they didn’t know that the old man had just passed away. At this time, in the mortuary of Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Kuanjie, the children of Mr. Jingkui were seeing off the elderly.
The hospital staff brought the family members together and bowed to the father's body. Jing Kui's daughter said that a few days ago, her father was a little sick and had lung infections and was admitted to the hospital. In the video taken by the family with their mobile phone this morning, the reporter saw the last image of Mr. Jingkui. The old man leaned on the hospital bed, his family was chatting with him, and the old man wanted to chat with his daughter on the phone. At that time, the old man was sober, "Suddenly it won't work after 9 o'clock."
At present, the family members of the elderly have passed the news to the elderly apprentices. The family thanked everyone for their attention to the elderly.
Known as the living fossil of the barber world
Some people say that Jingkui is a living fossil in the hairdressing industry. The 101-year-old father Jing was 15 years old as an apprentice in a barber shop. During his two-year apprenticeship, he also learned to massage bones by the way. The two things of shaving and massage have allowed Jing Kui to save enough capital and become the boss by himself.
The most glorious time for the elderly was in the 1940s. At that time, he opened two barbershops in Tsinghua University and Di’anmen, ranging from professors and officials to the people and students, and there were all kinds of customers. Sometimes There can be more than twenty people in the shop. The old man's barbershop opened until the late 1950s. After the public-private partnership, he turned in both barbershops, and Jingkui began to walk the streets and alleys. However, his reputation has not diminished.
In his home in a hutong lane near Jingshan Back Street, regular customers often come to his home. Sometimes, foreign friends will drive him to the house for a haircut.
At the age of 93, he won domestic and international awards for acting in a movie
In 2006, the old man starred in the movie "The Shaver" at the age of 93 and won the highest award "Golden Peacock Award" at the 37th India Goa International Film Festival, the 5th India Pune International Film Festival Best Feature Film Award, and Shanghai Film Festival News Media Awards and other domestic and foreign awards.
The movie tells about the old life of a Beijing shaver named "Master Jing" and his regular customers. The story of a group of Chinese old people facing death reflects the changes in China and the living conditions of ordinary people. After the movie was released, Mr. Jingkui became a world-famous old shaver.
In the past two years, Jing Kui has rarely used a razor because of his high age. The old patrons are old and old, and there are fewer people coming. The only few "outs" were also at the invitation of friends.
Before his death, the old man used to say that as long as he was still doing something, he would not think about "hanging the knife." At least this craft can't be put down in his hands.
